The third edition of the Zambia Film and Television Awards (ZAFTA) organised by the National Association of Media Arts (NAMA) and sponsored by MultiChoice Zambia LTD will take place on 1st April at The Taj Pamodzi in Lusaka.
With only few days to go, preparations for the highly publicized and prestigious awards have reached an advanced stage. NAMA president Patrick Salubusa aka Saulosi announced in a statement that the programme for the event has been laid out to suit the magnitude of the ceremony which is putting value on film production in the country.
“The event will start with red carpet interviews, interactions and dinner before witnessing the actual awards were 11 adjudicated for categories and one recognition award will be given out to the deserving winners,” stated Salubusa.
The categories include Best TV Show, Best TV Presenter, Best TV Drama/Comedy Series, Best TV/Film Actor, Best TV/Film Actress and Best TV/Film Director. The biggest award for the night will be the Best Feature Film.
Just as much as the awards night will bring together top names in entertainment and film, there will also be a serious music package for the event to make it memorable. Top Zambian artistes playing authentic live music will include James Sakala, Wezi and Dreamz. Comedian Collins the President Zulu will also be in the house to give out those rib-cracking jokes.
Since the event is strictly by invitation, MultiChoice Zambia will be giving out special invitations to lucky subscribers via the various GOtv and DStv radio shows and social media platforms.
