PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu yesterday attended the inauguration of Rwandan President Paul Kagame at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda following his re-election.
Speaking shortly after the inauguration ceremony, President Lungu congratulated his Rwandan counterpart, saying his re-election showed the confidence that the Rwandan people had in him.
President Lungu said the people of Rwanda trusted President Kagame by giving him another mandate to serve. President Lungu further said it was time for Africa to solve it’s problems.
And delivering his inaugural speech, President Kagame thanked the Heads of States and former Heads of States for attending his inauguration.
“The presence of so many brothers and sisters from around Africa, Head of States and former Heads if States honours our nation deeply and gives us strength, we thank you,” President Kagame said.
“Africa has been with Rwanda when we needed you the most and nothing gives our people greater pride than contributing, together with you, to greatness of our continent,” President Kagame said.
