Dear Editor,
I write first and foremost to congratulate FAZ and Under 20 boys for their steadfast representation at the on-going Under 20 World Cup in South Korea where they became the only African team to proceed to the last eight.
However, I ask FAZ to start making preparations for the next Under 20 World Cup.
The next time the competition kicks off, the current Under 20 boys who just got back from South Korea will not be Under 20 because they would have graduated to the senior team.
It is, therefore, imperative that FAZ starts searching for the youthful boys from schools to take the mantle when that time comes.
It will be costly and lack of soccer managerial acumen if FAZ goes to sleep now and wait for the qualification time.
Let us not wait till the last minute to search, identify and nurture the would-be Under 20 players to replicate the current lethal Under 20 boys.
