LUSAKA Dynamos opened a four point lead at the top of the Super Division with a hard fought 3-2 victory over City of Lusaka yesterday.
The victory moved Lusaka Dynamos to 26 points, four points ahead of Zesco United, Napsa Stars and Green Buffaloes all on 22 points.
A brace from Crispin Mugala and a goal from Eric Kabulu helped Lusaka Dynamos extend their lead on the summit in an entertaining week 14 fixture played at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.
Kabulu put Dynamos in front in the 22nd minute after benefiting from a Cletus Chama pass inside the 18 ring.
City equalized eight minutes later through Clement Mundia’s sublime shot from outside the box.
With 15 minutes into the second half, Dynamos struck again with Crispin Mugalu converting from the spot.
Mugalu silenced the home team again with his brilliantly stricken volley from outside the box to make it 3-1.
City did not give up and were able to score the second goal in injury time through Yanikiwe Tembo.
City remains in the relegation zone with 10 points.
Meanwhile Green Buffaloes inflicted Power Dynamos their first defeat of the season after beating them 1-0 thanks to a second half goal from Brian Mwila.
Meanwhile, Nkana ended their four match winningless run without their goal poacher Walter Bwalya when they edged Buildcon 1-0 at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe. The first half was evenly contested with both teams wasting a number of good chances.
Ronald Kampamba redeemed Nkana in the 70th minute, giving Beston Chambeshi his first win since his retain at Wusakile side as head coach. Nkana now move to 10 place with 19 points.
At Levy Mwanawasa, Zesco United crippled Nkwazi 2-0 to go on second position with three games in hand.
