CHIMSORO Farms has been dragged to court for failure to clear a debt of K115, 500 worth of maize seed obtained in the last agriculture season.
The farms have been sued by Kamano Seed Company Limited for maize seed supplied on credit.
“On 30th December 2016, the Kamano Seed Company supplied Chimsoro Farms with maize seeds on credit items.
“As a consequence of the forgoing, the plaintiff proceeded to issue the defendant with invoices totalling the sum of K115,500,” they submitted.
Kamano said despite numerous demands for payment of the amounts owing, Chimsoro has failed, ignored or neglected to settle the money owed for the seeds supplied.
They have since asked the court for an order for the immediate payment of K115, 500 for maize seeds supplied by Kamano Seed Company Limited to Chimsoro Farms including interest and costs.
