Dear Editor,
The conduct and general behaviour of Chief Chipepo of the Tonga people of Southern Province needs to be encouraged.
This Loyal Highness displays traditional leadership traits that are second to none in all spheres of the Zambian traditions amongst all their Royal Highnesses in the country.
Whatever the Chief says or does leaves no traces of biased characteristics.
I now believe that his Royal Highness is a true child of God because he has demonstrated a significant number of signs pointing to a true believer of God our Creator.
Those of you who have directly dealt with him will agree with me that His Royal Highness is a selfless and down to earth traditional leader who calls a spade a spade whether or not that spade belongs to him.
I am sure that his subjects must be very lucky to have him as their chief. I am not speaking from without.
I have personally dealt with him when I happened to preside as a mediator over a High Court matter where he was personally involved.
If we had more of the Chief Chipepo’s type in the country, we would be surely getting unwavering and valuable counsel from our traditional leaders as a country.
I am not trying to canvass for support from his fellow Royal Highnesses for any reason other than his proficient leadership qualities.
I would like to urge them to try him as Chairperson of the House of Chiefs.
You may wish to note that Chief Chipepo does not even know me but I take very keen interest in monitoring the leadership prowess of all our leaders, be political or traditional, hence my identification of the good leadership qualities of this Royal Highness in the name of Chief Chipepo.
