CALLS for dialogue is only pushed by some individuals with the agenda to taste the waters, when they know for a fact that UPND does not recognise President Edgar Lungu as the President, says Zambian Republican Party leader Wright Musoma has said.
Mr Musoma said President Lungu must ignore those calling for dialogue because the other party does not want to recognise him as republican President.
“Now, who is President Lungu going to dialogue with when the other party is reluctant to accept him as the President? He cannot dialogue by himself,” he said.
He challenged the civil society, including the church leaders meddling in politics to stop because they had failed to be a solution in the first place when the opposition UPND had failed to accept the election of President Lungu.
Mr Musoma accused some clergy of having failed to come out on issues of national interests, but were only heard on matters of their interest to see how the nation would react.
He said calling for dialogue was a non-starter, saying there was no solution that could be given if another party was in denial and wanted to do things that suited them.
Mr Musoma challenged the whistle-blowers for dialogue to first speak to the UPND leadership to give valid reasons why they did not accept the election of President Lungu, when both the local and international communities, including the church witnessed all the process.
He said it was unacceptable that only few individuals wanted to denounce the Presidency because they wanted people to worship them, adding that cheap imaginations would not be tolerated.
The ZRP leader urged Zambians to ignore the tactics of the cartel whose aim was to harm whichever was working against their will to stop their plans.
Mr Musoma said it was wrong to push President Lungu to break the law and succumb to pressure by people who had an agenda.
“When someone is wrong, they are wrong and it is not the first time Mr Hichilema is abrogating the law. He is the same leader who was on record of having said he controls the intelligence and calling the Head of State all sorts of names,” he said.
