IF Chishimba Kambwili has any evidence to justify his allegations against President Edgar Lungu and the Patriotic Front, let him present it before the law enforcement agencies rather than resorting to rantings, PF media director, Sunday Chanda has said.
Mr Chanda said it was ridiculous for Mr Kambwili to continue accusing the Head of State and the PF of corruption when he had no evidence.
Mr Kambwili who is Roan Member of Parliament has, since his expulsion from the ruling party continuously accused President Lungu and his government of corruption. In his recent statement, he accused the President of getting rich in 12 months.
He also questioned Government’s purchase of the 42 fire engines at US$42 million.
But, Mr Chanda has challenged Mr Kambwili to produce evidence to his allegations.
“If he has any evidence to justify his so-called important questions, let him lay it bear before law enforcement agencies. If my elder brother Kambwili cannot add evidence to his noise and motor mouth, then he must keep quite.
“Sadly for my elder brother, opening his mouth comes as nothing but a reflex action. I repeat that if he has any evidence to justify his so-called important questions, let him lay it bear before law enforcement agencies,” Mr Chanda said.
He indicated that lies and character assassination would not help Mr Kambwili to gain popularity.
Mr Chanda said his (Kambwili) exaggerated sense of self-worth and cheap politics are not what Zambians are looking for.
“Unfortunately, my elder brother seeks to build a political base on falsehoods and character assassination. If Kambwili yearns for some political encounter, I am making an open invitation for him to meet me in a neutral political ground called Mpika for his A, B,C lessons,” he said.
Mr Chanda has also challenged Mr Kambwili who claims to be clean to tell the Zambians about his villas built on the Luanshya Golf Course.
And Mr Chanda has further cautioned Mr Kambwili to stop dragging his (Chanda) family into his unnecessary rantings.
“I refuse to reduce my response to his misplaced attacks into a family affair. I have not and will not subject my discourse with him into the Kambwili-Chanda affair because it’s not.
“My older brother Kambwili therefore has no justifiable reason to drag my family into this, worse of all the death of my young brother – it’s immoral,” Mr Chanda said
