BARCLAYS Bank Zambia has been voted the 2017 best bank in the country by Global Finance Magazine for excelling in customers service and products.
The renowned Global Finance Magazine has a circulation covering 192 countries with a mission to help corporate leaders, bankers and investors chart the course of global business and finance.
Each year, Global Finance selects the best financial institutions around the world and its awards have become a recognised and trusted standard of excellence.
Announcing the winners, the Editorial Director of Global Finance, Joseph Giarraputo said the awards celebrated financial institutions that excelled at delivering to customers the services and products tailored to meet their unique needs.
“This year’s winners are those banks that attended carefully to their customers’ needs in difficult markets and accomplished better results while laying the foundations for future success,” he said.
And Barclays Bank Zambia Managing Director Saviour Chibiya, said the award was evidence of the Bank’s commitment to ensuring that customers were kept at the heart of its operations.
Mr Chibiya said the award also showed that the Bank continued to develop products and services which not only met but exceeded customers’ needs and expectations.
“We are proud to have been recognised with this prestigious award, an achievement we could not have attained without the support of our loyal customers.
“We would like to thank our customers for their support and hereby reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that we continue delivering world-class banking solutions,” he said.
He said the Bank would continue to support public and private sector initiatives, and efforts to develop the Zambian economy by playing an integral role using its local and Group expertise.
Mr Chibiya also said the Bank would ensure that it continued to invest in innovative banking solutions for its customers.
