By GIDEON NYENDWA THE Zambia Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) has called on the government to implement critical reforms to ease the tax burden on workers and improve their welfare. Speaking at an end-of-year press briefing, ZCTU President Blake Mulala highlighted the urgent need to revise the Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) tax rates, which he described as excessively high, forcing many workers to live below the poverty line.
