By NATION REPORTERUPND has denied having declared that members reporting cases to the police without consulting it would face disciplinary action by the party.UPND spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa said the party does not encourage extra judicial measures that infringe on the rights of citizens.Mr Mweetwa said every person was deemed by law innocent until proven guilty and President Hakainde Hichilema made it clear that they would not like to do that which they would never like to be done to them when they were in opposition.He said the law was silent and it allows for people to be reported anywhere but the law must be applied and enjoyed judiciously and reasonably.Mr Mweetwa said those who report people away from jurisdiction and identify themselves as UPND supporters were advised to stop doing that.He said the UPND stands for justice and if a member had a matter with anybody, they should report them where it would be reasonable […]
