By PRISCA LUMINGU-BANDAPRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has called on the church to pray for peace without ceasing as the country approaches the 2021 general elections.President Lungu said it was not enough just to pray on October 18, the day of national prayers or every Saturday or Sunday, but that people needed to pray every day without ceasing. President Lungu said this when Seventh Day Adventist Church Southern Zambia Union president Harrington Akambwa paid a courtesy call on him at State House yesterday ahead of the 2020 Lusaka Conference meeting.Mr Lungu said as the country approached the elections next year, the challenges would be many, including the temptations to create havoc when things are not going on well.“Pray for peace in our country, it is not enough to just pray in October on the 18th, it is not enough just to pray on Sundays or Saturday, let us pray every day without ceasing,” President Lungu said.Mr Lungu also said the government was working very hard to keep the country safe […]
