Chalimbana University to commence degree programme for MPsBy JOHN KOMBEChalimbana University will soon commence a leadership and governance degree program for parliamentarians, University Vice Chancellor (VC), Geoffrey Tambulukani has said.Dr. Tamulukani confirmed the development when he addressed parliamentarians during a familiarization program held at the university at the weekend.Over 25 members of the Coalition of African Parliamentarians Against HIV and AIDS (CAPAH) of Zambian were in attendance.He said that the university would formulate a curriculum that would respond to the needs of the parliamentarians. He said that it was for this reason that the university would engage the parliamentarians on the formulation and fine-tuning of the curriculum.He therefore challenged the lawmakers to enroll in the program once it commences and that the need for university education for parliamentarians cannot be overemphasized.He was therefore hopeful that the program would attract many parliamentarians.He said that the university had already commenced a similar program for chiefs and the […]
