Dear Editor,MY last visit to National Heroes Stadium a few weeks ago broke my heart. The place is in a total mess!Bathrooms falling apart, bulbs taken out while most accessories are falling off! This is a 10-year old stadium that looks like it was built in 1964.The place is dirty. There is a full-time manager though who is struggling to keep the place intact as he does not have constant funding.Maybe we should just give it away to the private sector…And now I am told by those in the know that our Heroes Stadium may not pass the FIFA/CAF certification to hold international matches!In my days at school, we were taught Preventive Maintenance…Good day.DICKSON JERE.
