By SANFROSSA MANYINDATHE Chingola Municipal Council is working tirelessly to ensure that the district reclaims its glory of being the cleanest town in Zambia.To this effect, the local authority has been consistently undertaking the Keep Zambia Clean, Green and Healthy Campaign every last Saturday of every month.Council Director of Public Health, Fred Nkonde, therefore advised that all residents to participate in the clean-up exercise especially at household level in order to retain the glory of the district being the cleanest in the country.He assured that the department of public health would intensify the cleaning programme every Friday of the week.“Looking at the current situation, we can confidently say this town will achieve its quest to be the cleanest in Zambia because we have at least managed waste collection especially in areas where waste is highly generated.“Residents should desist from vices of indiscriminate dumping of waste and Open Air Burning which are the leading causes of […]
