Both the PF and United Party for National Development (UPND) have in the recent past received mass defectors from FDD. But Mr Banda said that the two biggest political parties were faking the defections to hoodwink observers. He said that the ruling party and UPND had been competing for supremacy and were too desperate to the extent of buying off pretenders.
