Thu, 25 Jan 2018 17:54:34 +0000 By PRINCE CHIBAWAH TWO inmates have escaped from Mansa Central Correctional Facility. Luapula Province Police Commissioner, Hudson Namachila confirmed the development. The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday. Mr Namachila named the escapees as Kelly Kabengele, 29, of Sumbu village in Mansa district who was serving a 60-month sentence for Burglary and theft and Junior Sepeti, 35, of Mutondo village in Chief Chungu’s area in Luwingu district who was serving a four year sentence for burglary and theft. “They removed two blocks from the wall of the toilet and jumped over the security razor wire of the prison’s fence.” Mr Namachila appealed to the public with information on the whereabouts of the escapees to report to the police.
