The pegging of the project fee at K10,000 has shocked many parents who feel the move amounted to exploitation. The parents have asked government to intervene to stop schools from exploiting parents and guardians in such a blatant manner. The K10, 000 is meant for a building project and must be paid by all pupils at the school even if they have paid school fees, or they will not be allowed in class. But this situation has angered parents who have questioned the importance of the project fee above the tuition fees.
