However, members of the public have been told to bury their dead immediately they passed away, until further notice. According to the hospital notice, “the hospital management regrets to inform the general public that the district hospital mortuary has broken down. The management therefore advises members of the public to make arrangements to bury their deceased relatives as soon as possible should any deaths occur in the wards, while the mortuary is undergoing repairs. Consequently no brought in dead (BID) cases will be received until further notice. Management therefore regrets the inconvenience this development may cause,” the notice reads.
