Mr. Thapa has appealed to Zambia to support Nepal’s candidature for the United Nations Human Rights Council for the 2018 to 2020 term. He said his country will expeditiously ensure that Zambia’s High Commissioner (designate) Extra- Ordinary and Plenipotentiary to Nepal Judith Kapijimpanga presents her credentials for stronger bilateral and trade relations. The Deputy Prime Minister also pledged to ensure that the President of Nepal visits Zambia any time soon. “Nepal is dedicated to the promotion and protection of human rights adding that it is his country’s sincere desire to contribute to the work of the UN body,” he said.
