Zambia lost 49-51 to Malawi in a tightly contested match and faced the reality of missing on the title. This was Zambia’s second loss at the tournament after the 58-59 defeat to defending champions Zimbabwe. The first half of the Malawi match ended even on 24-24 as both teams exhibited excellent skills on the court. But Malawi returned rejuvenated and scored the three important goals to record their third victory of the competition. Zambia was yesterday evening scheduled to play their last game against hosts Uganda.
