North-Western commissioner of police Auxensio Daka said break-ins and thefts have continued especially with Golf Estates, Trident College and Kansanshi Old Village being the most affected. He said the crimes were mostly committed in the night when owners of the houses were either sleeping or out on duty. “But we have also recorded cases during the day, especially in the Golf Estates, at the mines where thefts are committed during the day. “As you know some of the houses are occupied by single people and they go for work during the day and there is nobody at home, and that’s the time criminals strike,” Mr Daka said.
