Mr. Chanda’s uncle John Bwalya has told the Daily Nation that his family had followed Mr Kambwili’s verbal assault on their relative and had finally come to the conclusion that the issue was beyond political rivalry. Mr Bwalya said it was uncalled for that Mr. Kambwili should continue intimidating, attacking and threatening Mr Chanda whom he has declared as his political foe for unknown reasons. He said Mr Kambwili should have known that it was the right of every Zambians to aspire for political leadership and that the Luanshya Mayor had not committed a crime by expressing interest to challenge the former Information Minister over the Roan seat.
