Africa must increase fertiliser production – HH

By NATION REPORTERPRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has urged African governments to mobilise enough resources to inject in fertiliser production.Speaking during the Africa Fertiliser and Soil Health Summit in Nairobi, Kenya yesterday, Mr Hichilema said Africa need to look at increasing fertiliser production to increase crop production.He said the production can only be achieved  when the countries have enough resource capital.“We cannot depend on suppliers of fertiliser outside the continent, therefore we need to invest on our continent to increase the capacity to produce fertiliser, yes to use our raw materials.The continent has the raw materials, we must exploit it, but we need to invest to exploit it.
