IN our Saturday edition of the Daily Nation, we carried a story headlined Change strategy on debt restructuring, Debt Alliance advises gov’t.In the said story, we quoted Mr Maata Wakumeloas the coordinator of the Civil Society Organisation Debt Alliance.It has come to our attention that in fact, Mr Wakumelo is not the coordinator of the CSO Debt Alliance and did not issue the said statement. It has also come to our attention that Mr Wakumelo left CSO Debt Alliance more than a year ago and could therefore not make a statement on behalf of the organisation.The Daily Nation therefore wishes to unreservedly apologise to both Mr Wakumelo and the CSO Debt Alliance for the inconvenience caused.
