By KALOBWE BWALYAPOLICE cannot take action without any evidence of the alleged homosexuality acts that has been happening in the country recently, Home Affairs and Internal security Minister Jack Mwiimbu has told parliament.Mr Mwiimbu said if there are no reports pertaining to gaysim and unnatural acts, police cannot do anything.Mr Mwiimbu explained that police do not act on speculation, but , rely on evidence, therefore cases that have been reported with evidence are being investigated.Mr Mwiimbu, during a ministerial statement, however disclosed that Zambia police service has recorded a total of 18 cases of sodomy countrywide from January this year.Mr Mwiimbu disclosed that, Lusaka province recorded seven cases, five arrests and two cases still under investigation, Copperbelt province seven cases reported, six arrests and one under investigation, Muchinga province one case reported and one arrest made.He said in Tazara division in Mpika one case was reported and one arrest and convicted for seven years imprisonment […]
