By VITA BANDAGOVERNMENT’S plan to set up ethanol blending plants in provincial headquarters will promote alternative cheaper sources of fuel, energy expert Boniface Zulu says.Mr Zulu said with the continued fluctuations in fuel prices, the government’s decision to start blending ethanol will also result in stability of pump prices.He said this will eventually enable the economy improve as the cost production will reduce.Mr Zulu also said once the systems are put in place, carbon footprints will be reduced as emissions that are as a result of burning fossil fuels will be reduced.He also said jobs will be created which will be of benefit to many unemployed youths.Mr Zulu has since urged the government to engage the private sector if the construction of ethanol blending plants is to be actualised on time.
