Opposition leader named in K1.1m swindleBy GIDEON NYENDWAABOUT 51 people have reported United Prosperous for Peaceful Zambia leader, Charles Chanda, to Lusaka’s Central Police Station claiming that he has swindled them out of K1.1 million after they bought residential plots from him.Speaking on behalf of the affected individuals, Mr Thomas Ngoma, who paid K80, 000 directly to Mr. Chanda for a plot in Chaminuka area in 2019, has wondered why action has not been taken when the matter was also reported to the Police in June last year.And police spokesperson Rae Haamonga has confirmed receiving the said report on the alleged swindle by Mr. Chanda.Mr. Haamonga said the police compiled the docket case and forwarded it to the National Prosecution Authority.
