By ADRIAN MWANZATHERE is nothing sinister or wrong for UPND lawyers eyeing the position of Director of Public Prosecutions if they are qualified, UPND spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa has said.Mr Mweetwa however said he had not heard of any member of the UPND legal team positioning themselves for the post.He was reacting to recent comments from Economic Front (EF) Secretary General, Wynter Kabimba, who claimed there was a conspiracy aimed at ousting the DPP, Ms Lillian Siyuni who has been reported to the Judicial Complaints Commission (JCC) for alleged misconduct.Mr Mweetwa said that he was part of the UPND legal team and had never heard of anyone positioning themselves for that position.“I’m part of that team but what I can tell you is that I have not heard anything of that sort and if at all there is anything of that nature then it is news,” he said.He said that there was nothing wrong for qualified […]
