Dear editorZIMBABWE’S foreign currency deposits bulked to more than US$1.85 billion by end of October 2021, latest figures from the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) show.Meanwhile, Zambia’s foreign reserves have dwindled from almost US$3.0 billion on August 10, 2021 to US$1.2 billion on January 1, 2022.The implication of this development is that President Emmerson Munangagwa has, in the last four months, performed better economically, than President Hakainde Hichilema by steering Zimbabwe to surpass Zambia”s foreign reserves by a whopping US$600 million!President Hichilema really needs to up his economic performance. It doesn’t augur well for Zambia’s reputation. Not the 1980s again!“OBSERVER.
