BY MATION REPORTERA CONSORTIUM of mining firms mining in the Kanyele area of Kafue have cried foul over their mistreatment at the hands of Chieftainess Nkomeshya’s daughters.The firms complained that the two daughters Mervis and Choolwe were working with the likes of Jonathan Khondowe the famous person that bought President Hakainde Hichilema’s Jacket during a fundraising event in Lusaka.Speaking on behalf of the Consortium, Joseph Musonda said he has been consistently harassed since January 4 when two of his trucks were impounded but were released after he produced the mining license.He said the same happened on January 19 when Police from Palabana impounded three trucks laden with Copper and were taken to Woodlands Police.“There is something fishy here because the police that came to impound were from Palabana meaning they had no jurisdiction,” he said.Mr Musonda said that his licence made it possible to mine and that he was given 6.5837 hectares.“I was legitimately given licence number NO. 27834-HQ-AMR […]
