By LUCY PHIRITHE case of the man charged with killing UPND’s Kabwata Member of Parliament, Levy Mkandawire, in a road accident outside his house, has been adjourned awaiting committal instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.The Lusaka Magistrate Court adjourned to a later date the matter of Jetta Alick Kalengo of plot number 32 Chalata Road, Woodlands Extension who was arrested and charged with causing death by dangerous driving, using a motor vehicle without a road licence, and without insurance.Mr Mkandawire was hit and killed at the gate of his residence on November 18, 2021.The matter came up yesterday before Lusaka magistrate Felix Kaoma but the accused was not present before the court.The matter was called out by the state counsel and later adjourned to December 22, 2021 for mention and possible committal to the High Court.It is alleged that on November 18, 2021 a (BMW) vehicle which was approaching from east towards west was […]
