By IRVIN MUYUMBWA MAHOGANY Air Chief Executive Officer Dr Jim Belemu says the airline plans to rebrand its fleet in view of the growing competition in the aviation sector in order to survive. Dr Belemu says the rebranding will encompass the types of aircrafts that the airline will be using with hope that the year 2022 will be better in terms of the business atmosphere with the growing competition considering the anticipated re-launch of Zambia Airways. And Dr Belemu says there is need for deliberate effort to compare air fares in the region in terms of taxes and airport charges because the cost of flying is expensive for airlines. Dr Belemu says Zambia is the highest in terms of cost of running an airline in the region which hampers growth of the aviation sector and as a result, the country will always depend on foreign carriers.
