By NATION REPORTERKabushi Member of Parliament yesterday demanded to know whether it was in order for the nation to be denied fertiliser by the company single sourced to supply to the Southern Province.This is in a matter where Information and Media Minister, Chushi Kasanda and her husband have been accused of failing to deliver fertiliser to Southern Province farmers after allegedly pocketing over US$50 million.Mr Lusambo who rose on a point of urgent matter in Parliament said the named contractor was the husband to one of the ministers in the new dawn administration.He warned that if the matter was not handled properly, there would be hunger in the nation.He said Alpha Commodities had failed to supply the fertilizer when the company was allegedly paid $50 million in a single sourced deal.Meanwhile, Mr Lusambo said he was present and will continue to ably represent his constituency, after appealing against the nullification of his seat.And First Deputy […]
