Lusaka business woman sues partner for failed deal By GRACE CHAILE LESOETSAA LUSAKA business woman has sued her counterpart demanding a refund of K44, 000 after a failed business contract of importing salt.Ms Beatrice Mvula wants the Lusaka High Court to order Marther Samangetrading as Marvic General Dealers to pay K44, 000 being monies she is owing and due.She is also demanding a payment of K56, 000 being a profit due to her from the importations of nine truckloads of 600 bags by 50 kilogrammes pure sodium chloride (iodate fine salt) from Botswana between September and December 2020.Ms Mvula in her claim stated that she and Ms Samange entered into an oral contract and the term of agreement was that each would contribute K44, 000 to import the salt.She said that the defendant demonstrated to her that a minimum of K19, 000 would be raised as net profit after each importation.Ms Mvula said that she deposited the K44, 000 into Ms Samange’s bank account held with ABSA Bank Zambia Plc.She claims that she has only received […]
