Some residents looted the shops a few minutes after President-elect Hakainde Hichilema was declared winner of the August 12 general election.The residents looted assorted items from six shops at the mall on Freedom Avenue worth thousands of Kwacha. “I am very disappointed because ECL Mall is a public property that belongs to the Zambian people unlike most malls that are foreign owned. The shops that were looted are owned by Zambians through their hard work.
