By MICHAEL MIYOBATHE Zambia Sports Fans Association (ZASPOFA) has called on government through the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Child Development to honour Dr. Kenneth Kaunda who died on June 17 at Maina Soko Medical Centre by adding the “Super KK” title to all national teams.ZASPOFA patron Peter Makembo said adding the Super KK title to all national teams representing different sports disciplines will maintain Dr. Kaunda’s legacy as a passionate sports follower.According to a letter dated June 29 and directed to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Sports Youth and Child Development Dr. John Phiri, Makembo said Kaunda was a passionate supporter of sport and a humanist whose love for sports especially football saw the Zambia national soccer team nicknamed the “KK Eleven.”Makembo said Kaunda’s passion and dedication to the development of sports during his 27-year rule cannot be overemphasised.“As sports fans, we would like to appeal through your respectable office our desire […]
