Jackson Mapapayi writesA 1-year-7-months old baby has allegedly been killed by a suspected mental patient in Solwezi’s Kyangozhi area.According to North western province Commissioner of police Joe Njase, the incident happened on Wednesday around 16:30 hours and was reported by the father to the child Albert Sankisa that his daughter Abigail Sankisa had been murdered by Given Bulaya.Mr Njase disclosed that a stick is alleged to have been used in the act.He said the incident happened when the Mr Sankisa was standing with his daughter behind the house when he saw the accused coming towards him while carrying a stick.“When he found them, he tried to hit him with the stick but missed and eventually landed on his daughter’s head who stood closer to the father and died on the spot,” explained Mr Njase.
