By ANDREW MUKOMA MAKUNKARural Health Centre SisterIn-Charge in Kazungula District has raised concern over the deplorable state of the road from institution to Kazungula-Sesheke road Sister Constancia Lungu observed that the road had been a poor state despite residents making appeals to Government to work on it.She said that people were facing difficulties in movement adding that it was the only road which Makunka Mission uses for referral purposes.According to the sister-in-charge, it had been a challenge to transfer patients to Livingstone Central Teaching Hospital on the bumpy road.Sr Lungu said her institution had recorded cases of expectant mothers delivering on the road because of the poor state of the road. She called on Government to upgrade the state of the road to a bituminous standard.
