Mr. Chanda said Zambia did not support the deviation and testing of nuclear weapons but that she supported the United Nations position which demanded for the pursuing of peaceful resolutions in resolving the North Korean peninsula crisis. He said Zambia had maintained her position not to add to the tension in the Korean peninsula but instead pursue peaceful resolutions to the crisis. “The position of Zambia on the North Korean peninsula is that she does not support the firing or testing of nuclear weapons because we are signatory to the treaty on the ban of proliferation and use of nuclear weapons.
