Tue, 22 Nov 2016 10:55:35 +0000 FARMERS have been cautioned to stop buying re-packaged fertilizers that are insufficiently labelled or not labelled at all during this farming season. According to Zambia Bureau of Standards head of marketing and public relations, Hazel Zulu, such fertilisers could adversely affect crop yields as they were usually mixed with non-nutrient adding materials. “ZABS is concerned that some unscrupulous suppliers are taking advantage of the farming season to dupe unsuspecting consumers by selling them substandard fertilisers,” she said.
