According to a statement of claim filed in the Lusaka High Court by secretary of the Outreach Community Foundation Athletic Club secretary Stanford Kabwata and Chambeshi Athletics Club secretary Mulenga Chipoma, Mpondela and others have been accused of not being properly elected in accordance with the constitution. Mpondela has been sued together with ZAAA general secretary Davison Mung’ambata, Godwin Chenda, Maureeen Nkolwe, Mutale Mpepo, Moses Phiri, Gertrude Siakalefya and Komani Ng’ambi. The complainantts are seeking an injunction to restrain the ZAAA executive committee or their agents or servants from conducting their duties as they were illegally elected.
