The officials were suspended by Mr Mwila for failing to show up for party programmes when he toured the province. “Following the suspension which you slapped on us, we have made a decision to apologise to your esteemed office for what we did; we are very sorry,” the officials said in a letter to Mr Mwila. Mr Mwila toured Northern Province recently to meet party officials and assess the strength of the party ahead of the 2021 general elections and suspended seven senior party officials in the province for alleged indiscipline.
