Mushindamo District Commissioner, Benson Ngambo, has confirmed the development to the Daily Nation. Mr. Ngambo said previously residents got water from neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He said the local authority in that district allocated part of the constituency development fund (CDF) to funds to undertake the project. ‘’I can confirm that we now have water at the Kipushi border, the issue of our people drawing water from the neighbouring DRC is now a thing of the past,’’ Mr Ngambo said. He said the move is a huge venture for a council which has limited resources against the vastness of the town and its needs.
