Mr Banda confirmed the development in a statement to the Daily Nation yesterday in which he said he wished to concentrate on his personal life He said said he would inform the people of Lundazi which way he may go when time came and urged his supporters not to be hurt as that was the nature of politics. “Today I have decided to withdraw my membership from UPND so that I can concentrate on my personal life for now. I will inform the people of Lundazi which way I may go when time comes. Do not be hurt these are politics”, he said.
