Professor Mumba said that the University Council had resolved to meet the Minister of Higher Education to discuss the financing modalities following government pronouncements. He explained that the University had not been engaged on how the restructuring of the University would be rolled out or whether owing students who had been allowed to write examinations would be subsidized. Prof. Mumba said that UNZA management was still blank, still in the dark with regards to the structuring of the University into five colleges and how all the students who were owing would be financed to sit for their examinations.
