Phiri, a police officer at Kabwata police in Lusaka, is also goal keeper trainer for the MTN/FAZ Super League Nkwazi Football Club. Phiri has been promoted from the rank of Inspector to Chief Inspector following his splendid performance with the Under-20 national team at the recent AfCON hosted by Zambia. The chief of police promoted Phiri yesterday when the AfCON goalkeeper winning coach presented to him the Under-20 CAF gold medal and two replica jerseys for Zambia.
