Mumbwa district commissioner, Felix Ndopu told the Daily Nation that the arrears were as a result of a few commissions during the registration exercise adding that the district delayed in the validation process. “The district has received K6, 835,773 million to settle the arrears beginning from July to December 2017. The delay in paying the beneficiaries was due to a few problems in registration and validation,” said Mr Ndopu. He said all the challenges have since been resolved and the beneficiaries would start receiving the money this week.
