Wed, 07 Feb 2018 08:18:25 +0000 By MUYANI SHINJABALE POLICE have charged Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili for threatening violence on Chinese nationals in Luanshya, Copperbelt Police Commissioner Charity Katanga said yesterday. Ms. Katanga noted that the act by Mr Kambwili was a violation contrary to section 91 1A CAP 87 of the laws of Zambia. Addressing the press at her office at Police provincial headquarters in Ndola, she said Mr Kambwili together with four others on a date and time unknown but between January 26 and 27 in Luanshya met and threatened violence that any Chinese national who was seen around Luanshya should be stoned. Ms. Katanga noted that the directive was given to the residents in Luanshya by Mr Kambwili because the mine was recruiting miners elsewhere instead of recruiting local residents.
