Mr Chingole said that it was disappointing to see an acclaimed man of God issue derogatory statements in the media against the ruling party. He said in an interview with the Daily Nation that men of God were supposed to provide checks and balances to Government. Mr Chingole reiterated that the former republican vice President should tone down and re-examine the statements he had recently been issuing in the media.
